Condition
This work is in generally good overall condition. Consolidated filiform craquelures appear towards the upper and central parts of the left border, to the left and in the centre of the upper border, along the length of the right border, in the area corresponding to the girl's fand the man's on the left faces. The canvas is lightly wavy along the lower border towards the left corner. Two small vertical tears appear in the lower left-hand corner of approximately 1.5 and 0.5 cms in length, and a further one towards the left of the upper border. Examination under UV light reveals evidence of some retouching to the area corresponding to the girl's head, along the lower border and by the face and chest of the man on the left.
