Condition

The board is in good overall condition. There are one or two tiny abrasions to the lower edge in the lower right quadrant. There is a tiny spot of paint loss on the upper edge in the upper left quadrant. Otherwise the paint surface is in good overall condition and the impasto is particularly striking. There is no sign of retouching under ultra-violet light. Held in a simple wooden frame with a cream slip. The tones are slightly deeper and greener in the flesh than the catalogue illustration suggests.
