Description

  • 96cm. high; 3ft. 1¾in.
with a later foliate finial above two concentric rings with a leaf cast stem issuing from a neoclassical vase supporting six scrolled candlearms, on a columnar stem hung with tasselled chains, on inward curved Greek key supports joined by a ring on a later concave-sided triform base terminating in paw feet, the whole hung with pear and diamond shaped drops

A pair of virtually identical candelabra was sold from the Villa Demidoff, in these Rooms, lot 215, 22 April 1969.
