Gold, silver and cabochon ruby evening purse with watch, Boucheron, circa 1954

The hinged rectangular case with mirrored lid surmounted by an openwork panel depicting birds and flowers studded with round cabochon rubies, the interior with lipstick case, perfume flacon, comb, powder compartment and an additional covered compartment, the thumbpiece engraved with flowers and inset with a rectangular watch dial, 5 1/8 by 3 3/8 inches, signed Boucheron, Paris. With signed fitted case.

With denting and scratching typical of age, some discoloration to the silver parts and texturing in the gold parts. Fitted with a double mirror, a comb, a powder compact with screen and powder puff, a lipstick, a perfume vial (no longer seals well) and a rectangular compartment. The watch in the clasp is a manual movement and is currently running. Signed Boucheron Paris, numbered BT No. 875012 on inside lip of the lid, and with french assay marks.
