Seed pearl and diamond choker-necklace, circa 1910

The center formed of a hinged openwork plaque decorated with a central oval medallion flanked by acanthus leaves, set with old European-cut and single-cut diamonds, joined to two wide segments of seed pearl and platinum mesh, completed by a rectangular clasp fitted with black grosgrain ribbon framed by small round and single-cut diamonds, mounted in platinum, length 14 inches.
