The necklace designed as a torsade of twenty-five rows of seed pearls, terminating in caps highlighted with single-cut diamonds, to a clasp centring on a sugarloaf cabochon sapphire within a border of rose-cut diamonds, together with a bracelet en suite,
Condition
Seed pearls very fine and well matched in both pieces. The seed pearls in the necklace have become a little darker and discoloured probably due to wear. Sapphires measuring approximately 8.6mm x 7.9mm x 5.7mm , 8.5mm x 8.0mm x 6.0mm, estimated to weigh approximately 4.49 and 4.73 carats respectively. The sapphire in the necklace clasp is of a dark blue hue with a slight greenish tint when viewed from the side, in the bracelet the sapphire is a very dark blue, both with strong saturation of colour and typical inclusions visible with magnifications, slight abrasions to surface and one with a surface reaching fracture. Bright lively diamonds throughout. Secure clasps on both pieces. In good condition.
