- French assay marks, the fringe part detaches from the single back row to be worn as a tiara, fittings deficient.

Designed as a line of trefoil motifs set with rose- and circular-cut diamonds, suspending at the front graduated knife-edge bars tipped with circular-cut stones,

'Tiaras were very much in fashion in the last two decades of the 19th century and necklaces were often provided with a special rigid frame to enable them to be worn as a tiara'. Condition
French assay marks for gold. Total diamond weight approximately between 15.00-20.00 carats, the principal circular-cut diamond weighing ca. 1.35 ct. Mixed in colour and clarity. Weight, colour and clarity difficult to assess due to rose-cutting. Signs of normal wear and scratches commensurate with age of the piece.
Well preserved, in good condition.
