Catalogue Note

A collection of voyages to the East and West Indies, arranged chronologically from the thirteenth to the sixteenth centuries, from 1246 to 1579. The total series continued with accounts of travels up to 1696, comprising a total of 127 separate parts usually divided into 28 'deel' or volumes, though some sets are found in 29 or 30 volumes. The whole work is extensively illustrated with engraved maps and plates.
