Condition

Overall the sculpture is in good condition. The unpolished aluminum frame and components that make up the two spirals have a low luster satin appearance. The components display minor surface imperfections as surface pitting and small black areas of discoloration. Minor silver paint loss can be seen on the spacers on each axis that are used to separate the flat aluminum components. The flat components on the lower spiral appear well fixed in their position whereas with the flat components on the top spiral move and require realignment. A vertical seam on the base has been rewelded and a new brass rod has been inserted in the top spiral. The sculpture appears structurally sound.
