Description

The bracelet composed of four rows of polished lapis lazuli beads, to a double-headed lion clasp, decorated with oval cabochon rubies and brilliant-cut diamonds, length approximately 217mm, one diamond deficient; together with a ring set to the centre with a circular cabochon turquoise, within a surround of similarly-shaped sapphires, accented with single-cut diamond points, to a fluted shank, size O.

Condition

Bracelet: Stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Indistinct assay marks and maker's mark K K to underside. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.70 - 0.80 carats, bright, lively stones throughout. Lapis lazuli displays typical brassy pyrite inclusions, well matched throughout. Rubies a medium slightly purplish (pinkish) red hue with medium saturation of colour, typical inclusions visible with magnification, some with surface reaching fractures and cavities. Some slight discolouration to gold, could benefit from a professional clean. Secure clasp. Ring: Stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Turquoise an even greenish blue, but please note that in our expert opinion this stone has probably undergone some form of enhancement. Sapphires a dark blue with moderately strong saturation of colour, typical inclusions visible with a 10X lens, well matched in size and colour. Diamonds bright, one stone chipped, only visible with magnification. Traces of lead solder to underside affixing sapphires to mount. Scratches to mount consistent with wear. Both pieces in very good condition.
