Description

Of oval foliate and star design, centring on an oval sapphire weighing approximately 12.0 carats, within borders of circular-, rose-cut and cushion-shaped stones, to a diamond-set suspension loop, one diamond point deficient, suspension loop detachable.

Condition

Sapphire measuring 13.9mm x 11.7mm x 8.9mm estimated to weigh approximately 12.0-12.5 carats, slight purplish-blue hue, strong saturation of colour, typical inclusions visible under x10 magnification. Sapphire with visible silk inclusions to table of stone. Estimated to weigh approximately 5.4-5.8 carats, lively stones. One diamond deficient. Later suspension loop. In overall good condition.
