LADY'S GEM-SET AND DIAMOND DRESS WATCH, 1930s

Description

The rectangular face applied with Arabic numerals and blued steel hands, accented by polished onyx batons and foliate sprays decorated with marquise-shaped diamonds and calibré-cut emeralds, to a fine mesh bracelet bordered by millegrain-set uniform lines of single-cut diamonds, length approximately 158mm.

Condition

PLEASE NOTE WE CANNOT GUARANTEE WATCH MOVEMENTS Manual movement contemporary to bracelet but is associated, running at time of cataloguing. Housing of movement loose and requires securing. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 4.5 - 5.0 carats, bright, lively stones throughout. The watch face is scratched and discoloured, could benefit from a professional clean. The supple bracelet is seamless at closure and secure with a hinged safety catch. Fine mesh pierced at one point and opposite that is a very small area of damage. Movement signed C.H. Meylan and engraved K.P.B to reverse of watch. Scratches consistent with age and wear. In good condition.
