EMERALD AND DIAMOND BROOCH/PENDANT, EARLY 20TH CENTURY

Description

Of pierced open work design, millegrain-set throughout with rose-, single- and circular-cut diamonds, depicting a bird of prey in flight holding an articulated pair of collet-set circular-cut diamond drops of near-colourless and yellow tints respectively, its eye embellished with a cabochon emerald, one diamond point deficient, brooch fittings detachable.

Condition

Circular-cut diamonds spread at approximately 0.20 and 0.50 carats respectively, estimated colour H-I and the other of yellow tint, estimated clarity I and SI respectively. The emerald a light green colour, some scratches to the surface only visible with magnification. Suspended drops well articulated. Pin a little bent, safety catch. Tarnish only visible to reverse of mount. In very good condition.
