The black dharmapala striding in pratyalidha and trampling a naked demonic figure lying prone on a lotus flower rising from a sea of blood, Mahakala brandishing a kartrika in the right hand and drinking from a blood-filled kapala held in the left, wearing a charcoal-grey rosette-patterned short sleeved jacket lined with yellow cloth and trimmed with a green and gold textile, a tiger skin tied beneath the bulging belly, with two jewelled necklaces and a garland of severed demon heads, snakes entwined in the flaming hair and one slithering over the shoulders, the defender of the faith adorned with a crown of human skulls and with a fearsome appearance, fangs bared and smoke issuing from the flared nostrils, a naked black female companion, possibly Mahakali, to his left with ferocious expression, a kapala in her left hand and a melong and a vajra noose in the right ensnaring a hooded demon below, the sky raining kila, kartrika, chakra and other tantric weapons, dragons in the clouds above, charnel fields below amongst black mountain peaks, one with a gold and white stupa at its summit, all set within a palace arch of skeletons and severed demon heads, with Tsong Khapa and a blue six-armed Mahakala in clouds above.
