Condition
The canvas is not lined. There are areas of retouching, up to 5cm. sq., to the top right quadrant, to the centre of the sky and to the rooftops on the horizon. There are intermittent small spots of retouching mainly to the top edge to cover previous frame-rubbing. Retouchings are visible under UV light. Apart from some overall surface dirt and some yellowing of the varnish this work is in good condition.
Colours: Overall fairly accurate although the colours in the sky and in the water of the original are deeper and less washed out than the ones in the catalogue illustration.
