Condition
The canvas is lined. There are no signs of retouching visible under UV light. There is a nailhead-sized spot of paint loss to the upper right corner and a nailhead-sized spot of paint loss towards the lower right corner. There are stretcher marks along all four edges and down the centre of the canvas. There is some stable craquelure, mainly to the upper right quadrant and to the jacket of the figure on the right. Apart from an uneven varnish, this work is in good condition.
