• movement mounted within a drum-form case • off-white dial, Roman numerals, the center decorated with running leaves joined by rosettes • the case surmounted by a vase issuing flowers, cascading vines flanking the sides, carved grotesque mask stem connected to the stylized base, the front of the base centered by a circular rondel chased with the figure of Cupid, raised on four turned feet • case signed

Condition

Please note that the movement was made by Omega. Upon further research, we would date the clock closer to 1900. Furthermore, please note that E. F. Caldwell of New York was in fact an esteemed designer of works in metal, including clocks, lighting fixtures and furniture. The movement is running, however we recommend that it will need service soon. It is numbered 5710740. The movement was made by Omega. The dial is generally in nice condition with some general discoloration and one hairline beneath 1 o'clock. The gilt case is nice and shows some wear and loss of gilding throughout. Overall the clock is very nice and decorative.
