Caldwell of New York was in fact an esteemed designer of works in metal, including clocks, lighting fixtures and furniture. The movement is running, however we recommend that it will need service soon. It is numbered 5710740. The movement was made by Omega. The dial is generally in nice condition with some general discoloration and one hairline beneath 1 o'clock. The gilt case is nice and shows some wear and loss of gilding throughout. Overall the clock is very nice and decorative.
