makers' mark .R. in a lozenge for Jean-George RĂ©mond and Co., Geneva, 1815-1822, the rim numbered: 18



rectangular, the lid chased and picked out in enamel with musical instruments on an engine-turned ground within foliate ornament, the musical movement playing one tune

Condition

There is a separation between the lid and lid side at the front of the box. Minor enamel losses and surface scratches. Two base screws lacking, one at front, one at back. The interior with dimpling.
