Description

English, second quarter of the 19th century



with tapering faceted citrine handle, the gold collar and cushion chased with foliate scrollwork, the shaped foiled citrine matrix engraved with two unidentified crests

Condition

Generally in very good condition. There is a barely perceptible split to the gold cushion in a crevice of the chasing. The matrix appears to have been knocked at the corner, causing a fissure below the surface, but no loss.
