of navette form, the lid painted en plein with a rustic hillside at sunrise, the ground of black enamel within geometric gold rosettes flanked by chased acanthus leaves, the base enamelled with fruit

Condition

Generally in good order. There are small enamel losses to the white line borders, those of the lid visible in the catalogue photo. Additional enamel losses to the back under the hinge, and small chips to the edges of the base panel. Minor nicks to lid panel. Interior in good condition, with very minor surface scratches from use.
