struck only: 18K, probably Hanau, third quarter of the 19th century



of shaped rectangular form with shallow bombé sides, the lid enamelled in translucent blue and richly applied in rose diamonds with a central clematis flower within a wide openwork border of scrolling foliage and flowers, the sides similarly decorated in blue taille d'épargne, the base engraved with diaper and scrollwork on a finely-grained ground
