- apparently unmarked, Geneva, mid 19th century
- height 6.8cm, 2 5/8 in
of upright rectangular form, the front with an oval translucent blue enamel medallion mounted with a floral spray set with rose-cut diamonds and concealing a watch movement, the ground engraved overall with trailing ivy leaves and flowers on a hatched ground, the interior complete with memorandum book and gold pencil
Condition
There is a split and small portion of gold lacking on lid corner; this has been repaired at some point, and there are traces of old solder, but the crack has re-opened; small dent to the gold at right-hand side. The oval panel on the reverse is now detached. Otherwise good condition. Please note: There is no Condition Report given for the watch movement, which is not currently working.
