of cartouche form, the lid, bombé sides and base enamelled in purple camaïeu with hunting and bucolic views within blue line borders, the surface engraved with scrolls and foliage, applied scroll thumbpiece

Condition

As partly visible in the catalogue photo, each enamel cartouche (save one, left side) has enamel losses, most of which have been restored. Some enamel losses also to the blue line borders. Minor gold losses at back near the hinge.
