apparently unmarked but in the manner of C. M. Weishaupt & Söhne of Hanau, mid 19th century, the rim numbered: 2236 and scratched: 10628
of cartouche form, the lid applied with a later oval enamel plaque painted with thirsty exotic wayfarers, its paste border within larger collet-set pastes, the matted ground applied with flowerheads within entwined scrolls, the baluster sides and base richly engraved with further flowers and strapwork

Condition
The lid has been off, presumably at the time the lid plaque was replaced, and there are abrasions at the lid pins. Approx. nine pastes lacking. Could do with a clean. Otherwise in good order.
