  • width 8.8cm, 3 1/2 in
maker's mark FJ incuse with French prestige marks, circa 1810, the rim numbered: 5589



rectangular with cut corners, the lid painted en plein, the dove-drawn chariot of Venus surrounded by attendants, against a white lace enamel band within stripes of blue enamel and stylised matted laurel

Condition

There has been successful restoration to the blue enamel borders at the angles. Some scratching to lid panel, otherwise fine.
