Catalogue Note
The following five lots comprise a portion of an interior designed by Joaquim Tenreiro for a European lady in the 1950s who was residing in Brazil. The owner then relocated to New York, where the collection has remained until offered here. Employing his characteristic organic form and superb craftsmanship, Joaquim Tenriero customized his classic models for this commission by contrasting rich Brazilian woods with pale blue painted glass.
