Catalogue Note
This is an extremely rare example of New Hampshire-based Valenza's furniture. In 1970, Lee Nordness wrote in Objects USA: "Often the artist works on one subject at a time - such as a chair or a chest - probing the different forms possible for the object without loss of its functional aspect."
