Catalogue Note
This unique design was executed by George Nakashima and given as a gift to Harry Bertoia. While part of Bertoia's collection, it resided on a bench in his studio. This lot is accompanied with a signed statement from Alden Cole, Bertoia's son-in-law, who was given the piece in the early 1970s.
