laminated plastic, glass and hazel wood
from an edition of four
Literature
Albrecht Bangert, Italienisches Möbeldesign, Munich, 1985, p. 9 (for a similar "Libera" bookshelf created in 1979)
Andrea Branzi, The Hot House: Italian New Wave Design, Cambridge, MA, 1984 (for a similar "Libera" bookshelf created in 1979)
Condition
Overall very good condition. The laminated surface of the bookshelf with minor surface scratches and one area of impact with loss to veneer, which appears as a ding. When put together the stepped vertical element has naturally warped slightly with age and the top glass shelf is therefore slightly uneven, when placed upon the hazelwood branch, which is evident in the catalogue illustration. The green-edge glass shelves are in excellent condition. Some of the bark on the drawer pulls are missing or coming off.
