Description
The gold chain of double dart-shaped links applied with translucent purple enamel and black piqué enamel alternating with pearls, length 17½ inches, signed C.G, supporting a pendant centering an oval amethyst within an openwork frame decorated with a band of opaque white and black enamel and accented with rose-cut diamonds and a border of pearls, supporting a gray baroque pearl and diamond drop, a brooch pin on the reverse, surmounted by a pearl and diamond pendant loop.
Condition
Minute amount of damage to the enamel, especially considering the age of the chain. The pearls are a creamy white to a brownish rosy-gray shade and exhibit nice luster. Diamonds are of decorative quality.
