Comprising: a brooch designed as a stylised frog decorated with black enamel, embellished with oval cabochon ruby eyes within a rope work border, signed Webb; together with a pair of ear clips of similar design, clip fittings, signed Webb.
Condition
Stamped 750 for gold. Brooch with some light scratches and pitting to the black enamel with one noticeable large chip to the enamel on the upper body of the frog, consistent with use. The rubies are well matched slightly purplish-red colour, with medium colour saturation, surface pitting, abrasions and typical inclusions visible under 10x lens.
Ear clips: some abrasions and damage to the polished areas of metal, the pair of rubies well matched, slightly purplish-red colour to one, the right hand ruby distinctly more red than the other in the second ear clip, the left stone damaged with a surface reaching fracture across the stone, all rubies with medium colour saturation, slight abrasions and inclusions visible only with magnification. Strong clip fittings. In good condition.
