Description
Designed as a series of interlocking scrolls, centring on a cushion-shaped ruby, within a border of stylised vine leaves set with rose-cut diamonds, accented with pearls, flanked by a pair of figures and a dog with polychrome enamel decoration, further highlighted with cushion-shaped rubies and circular-cut emeralds, central motif detachable, hinged and fixed pendant fittings.
Condition
Ruby measuring approximately 10.1mm x 8.1mm x 4.5mm, estimated to weigh approximately 3.46 carats, medium red hue, typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, small surface reaching fractures. Remaining rubies a purplish (pinkish) hue of varying tones with medium saturation. Diamonds bright and lively. Emeralds a medium green with typical inclusions visible with magnification, small nicks to facet junctions. Three small pearls cracked. Some small losses to enamel. Central detachable motif could benefit from attention by a professional jeweller to secure it. Right hand figure a little loose. Later pin fitting stamped 18K. In good condition.
