  • height of vases 34 in.; height of stands 36 1/4 in.
  • 86.4 cm; 92.1 cm
each painted with panels of figures at various pursuits reserved on a ground densely painted and gilt with flowers, butterflies and precious objects, the shoulder applied with two pairs of gilt salamanders, gilt squirrel form handles.  Together with two tall carved wood stands with marble tops.  4 pieces.

Condition

There is a restored 2-inch by ¾-inch restored chip on the lobed rim, which has been oversprayed. There is a very small area of flaking to the enamel of a tree in one panel. There is some slight wear to the gilding on the salamanders, squirrels and rims of both vases. Please note that the restoration is very good. Otherwise the vases are in good condition. The stands have some old marks and scratches. The stretchers have been re-glued.
