Catalogue Note
This service was comissioned by George Seton, who was born in Scotland in 1696 and emigrated to Stockholm, Sweden in 1718. He made a living as a merchant and was ennobled in 1785 together with his sister's son Alexander (1738-1814) who became Baron Seton and inherited the Ekolsund Estate from his uncle upon his death in 1786.
