A GROUP OF CHINESE EXPORT BLUE AND WHITE PLATES CIRCA 1720-50

comprising: a pair of plates each painted with two figures on a terrace within a scalloped and barbed border surrounded by sprays of peonies and prunus, the rim with a demi-flower head and ruyi-head border, the reverse painted with two floral branches; and a set of eight plates each with a domed center and painted with a fan with river landscape on a tiled diaper ground surrounded by four flower vases amongst flowering branches, the rim with scroll and fan shaped panels alternating with flowers and foliage, the reverse painted with blossoming branches.  Some minor chips to rims. 10 pieces.
