A BLOOR DERBY PORCELAIN GREEN-GROUND 'WARWICK' VASE CIRCA 1820-30

  • height 9 1/2 in.
  • 24.1 cm
reserved on the front with a gilt-edged canted rectangular panel painted with the Pass of the Trosachs Pass Katrine, the gilt entwined vine handles issuing fruiting grapevines molded and applied beneath the gilt and beaded rim, circular BLOOR DERBY mark printed in red, inscribed title. Minor chip and wear to gilding.

Condition

There is a 1/8-inch circular shallow chip on the edge of the rim above the painted panel. There is a very minor chip on the back left corner of the pedestal base. There is a very tiny horizontal scratch on the painted panel and a small scratch on the back of the body. There is some slight rubbing and wear to the gilding on the handles. One of the grape leaves on the front of the vase has been restored and over-gilt. The vase is in generally good condition.
