each on a mahogany stand, the terrestrial globe with the inscription A / Correct Delineation / OF THE / EARTH / according to the moft recent Discoveries / By DUDLEY ADAMS, / Globe and Mathematical Insftrument Maker, / TO HIS MAJESTY, / OPTICIAN / To H.R.H. THE PRINCE OF WALES, &c&c. / No 60 Fleet Street London 1810, the celestial globe with the inscription AN IMPROVED / CELESTIAL GLOBE, / By DUDLEY ADAMS, / Globe & Mathematical Inftrument Maker, / To his Majesty / AND OPTICIAN TO / H.R.H. the PRINCE of WALES, &c&c. / No60 Fleet Street London 1811.
Condition
Restored condition, stands in good condtion with nice color; celestial globe with small cracks and inpainting at the poles, craquelure and abrasions, yellowing to varnish, small plugs to horizon ring; terrestrial globe with restorations throughout, especially to the north and south poles and along the equator, yellowing and craquelure to varnish, abrasions, restorations and inpainting, separation and repairs along center of the Atlantic Ocean, Russia and Arabia (lifting in the Salt Desert), inpainting throughout; each lacking brass hour ring to top of compass housing; the compass of the celestial globe stand with possibly later glass, and lacking brass ring.
