Condition

STRUCTURE Original canvas. PAINT SURFACE The painting appears to be in good clean condition. There is a light and even cracquelure consistent with age. ULTRAVIOLET Ultraviolet light reveals infilling of cracquelure, particularly to the sky. There has been some re-touching to the horse and to the groom's face, and edges of his jacket. FRAME Held in an ornate gilt wood frame.
