Catalogue Note

A wonderful example of a smaller middle row horse carved in the Brooklyn shop of Marcus Charles Illions and sons.  Illions was known for creating a sense of motion with each of his horses and this figure is a wonderful example of that ability, with a wind twirled mane and at full gallop.  The wood on this piece is in very good condition.
