Catalogue Note
One of the most unusual figures made by American carousel makers, the Teddy Bears were the only figures made with articulated heads and only one of two figures made with no saddle or trappings carved onto the back and sides. The carving detail in the fur of the Teddy Bear is extraordinary and may be one of the reasons why so few were made.
