Description

  • Height: 13 cm, Length: 24 cm
carved in softwood, the exterior surface engraved with geometric and pecked traditional designs, pierced at either end of the bowl for suspension

Collected by Mr Angus Munns in the last decade of the 19th century, on Dumfries Station, Maranoa District, south of Mitchell, south west Queensland
Calliope River Historical Museum, Gladstone, on loan for the past thirty years

Condition

Has two worn cracks at either end of the bowl almost certainly created from where there have been previous holes for suspension.
