Condition

There is some damage to the speartips visible in the image reproductions and considerable pigment loss on all spears. Some of the stringray barbs and quartz speartip are slightly loose where they are attached to the shaft.

Catalogue Note

These spears were collected during the Second World War by a RAAF sergeant serving at Milingimbi (The Crocodile Islands). These spears represent differing types of both ceremonial and utilitarian examples.
