Catalogue Note

Cf. For an early painting in this style, and of a similar scale, see Millagudoo, Great Sandy Desert, WA, 1995, in Cowan, J., Balgo: New Directions, Craftsman House, Sydney, 1999, p.38, plate 4, illus

Eubena adopted a palette of bright yellows, orange, red and pink in late 1993 and her style began to diverge from that she had shared with her husband Wimmitji Tjapangarti (c.1924-2000), towards the use of bold shapes and intense colour. The upper circle is a large hill called Piritjarri below this is Ritji Wanirri (a rockhole). The remainder of the paintings depicts tali or sandhills.

This painting is sold with an accompanying Warlayirti Artists certificate.
