Catalogue Note
This painting is sold with an accompanying Papunya Tula Artists certificate that reads in part: 'As this painting is a depiction of part of the secret-sacred Tingari Myth cycle very few details were revealed. The story tells of a group of Tingari men who were associated with the Watunuma or Flying Ant Dreaming and who travelled from the west to the site of Watunuma, a claypan west of the Kintore Ranges. There they camped and the roundels depict those camps which were holes in the ground where they entered and left the earth.'
