Catalogue Note

This painting is sold with an accompanying Papunya Tula Artists
certificate that reads in part: 'This painting depicts the rockhole site of
Wanapatu, west of Jupiter Well. A large number of Tingari Men were
camped at this site making damper from the small black seeds known as kalpari or rat-tail goosefoot from the small sticky herb plant known as dysphania kalpari which they had gathered and ground into a paste. The damper can be seen there today in the form of the segmented flat rocks at the site.'
