A Flemish Gothic carved oak casket 16th century

  • 20cm. high, 32.5cm. wide, 12.5cm. deep; 8in., 1ft. ¾in., 5in.
with a domed hinged lid, the front with two square panels with tracery on bracket feet, the underside with an inventory number in white paint 2081 and in black ink 3697

Condition

Restored crack across the top, secured with a piece of metal on the inside. Crack down right side of top. Old marks, scratches and gouges generally. In overall good condition. Could even be 15th century. Unusual to have casket this early with domed lid. Recommended.
