Description

  • 617cm. 6¾in. high
4¾-inch nickel-plated dial with subsidiary seconds dial and central alarm hand, the front-winding three train movement with cylinder platform escapement mounted on the backplate, grande sonnerie striking for all four quarters on two bells and the hour on a further bell, the separate alarm train mounted on the backplate and acting on a futher bell in the base, the plain case with bevel-glazed panels and recessed carrying handle, the oak travelling case with a brass carrying handle

Condition

Dial with scuffs and scratches, numerals rubbed. Movement is reasonably clean and would run rather sluggishly at time of cataloguing, will benefit from a clean and some fresh oil. Case has many old scratches, scuffs and patches of rubbing to nickle plating, front glass replaced with plain glass, all other panels with chips to the edges, top and right side have losses to corners. Travelling case has old scuffs, scratches and marks throughout. With three winders.
