Description

  • height 74cm
latched 21-cm arched dial with wheatear border, engraved silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and half quarter markings, matted centre with apertures for date and mock pendulum signed Fromanteel & Clark, foliate pierced blued hands and silvered alarm disc, strike/silanc above XII and subsidiary for fast/slow in the arch flanked by well engraved figures, pierced brass mask spandrels, movement with five latched pillars and well engraved back plate, verge escapement and trip repeating half hour striking on a bell, front-wind alarm on a bell, ebony case surmounted by a brass bound inverted bell top with foliate pierced and engraved blind frets, topped by five urn finials, moulded cornice above a break arch glazed front and back door with foliate pierced engraved corner spandrels and brass fluted corner columns, shaped handles above similar engraved side frets, heavy moulded plinth with brass borders raised on turned feet
