34.5-cm brass dial with engraved border and foliate centre, engraved chapter ring with Roman numerals, foliate pierced hands, subsidiaries for strike and play/not strike and play, tune selection, seconds also signed H Cranenberg Scheemda, apertures for day, date, month and moonphase in the arch, pierced cherub spandrels, three train anchor movement with rack Dutch half hour striking on alternating bells and playing one of three tunes with 16 hammers on 9 bells, later custom made mahogany case with moulded broken pediment surmounted by an urn, Mercury and an angel, above pierced frets, glazed break arch door with brass capped fluted colums, further fluted columns to the canted trunk, long door with carved wheatear border, canted base with string inlaid banding raised on tapered feet
