A good and attractive French Louis XV ormolu cartel clock, Pérache A Paris, mid 18th century

15.5-cm enamel dial with blue Roman numerals signed Pérache A Paris, foliate pierced and engraved gilt hands, similarly signed movement with five knopped pillars, verge escapement and silk suspended pendulum, numbered countwheel striking on a bell, shaped ormolu case surmounted by a foliate scroll adorned throughout with further scrolls, flowers and leaves, paterae trellis sides and glazed lenticle, the C-scroll base with trailing flowers

The signature probably refers to Jean-Pierre Perache (also Perhache, Parache or Perrache) who became master in 1733. Lit.; Tardy, Dictionnaire des Horlogers Français,  pp.508.
